Gaters BIAS PLY DRAGS

Bias Ply Drags are open to Pre 1960 Hot Rod, Custom, and stock cars and trucks. This 1/16th Mile drag racing event caters to period correct cars as they would be on the streets of the L.A. Suburbs in the 1950s.  Who’s got the fastest Car in the neighborhood? We’ll find out with 5 classes that you won’t find at any of the other events around.  This is the meet for the rest of us. Want to find out how your shoebox rates against your buddy’s Buick special? Want to see if your sedan delivery can hold a candle to a blown Deuce 5 window? Brothers and Sisters this is the place to do it.

RACE TECH INFO:

Racers must pass a tech inspection including but not limited to, seat belt, safety hubs / drum retainers on all keyed rear ends, no excess play in steering, brakes in good working condition, battery secured, fire extinguisher within drivers reach, clamps on all rubber fuel lines, 2 throttle return springs, tires in good shape, gas cap securely mounted, hubcaps removed or secured, cotter pins in steering/axles/spindles, radiator catch can, no major leaks, drivers are required to wear helmets in open top cars, any other safety items deemed crucial by technical inspector.

Car appearance: Cars must reflect a period look from the 1950s or before. No Billet, No  modern wheels, tweed interiors, etc.
